offering telehealth across Maryland, Delaware & Pennsylvania

I also support people deconstructing beliefs and identities, rebuilding a stronger sense of self, and navigating trauma, attachment, and transitions. These issues can show up as anxiety, depression, confusion, black and white thinking and indecisiveness or feeling stuck. I work best with people who are open to reflection and ready to explore how the past is impacting the present. From there, we can start making intentional changes to help you feel more grounded, connected, and fulfilled.

Hi, I'm Christine (she/her).

I'm a therapist who works with clients healing from religious and spiritual trauma, high-control groups, and relational struggles.

I believe it’s important for you to get a sense of what therapy with me might look like before we begin. I’m a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

How I Work

My focus is to make sure you feel seen, understood, and safe enough to challenge yourself.

I bring lived experience to this work. I grew up in a high-control group and deeply understand how isolating it can be to question or leave a belief system. Healing from religious or spiritual harm is hard—and also possible.

Why I do This Work

Whether you're deconstructing long-held beliefs, working through doubts, or rebuilding after trauma, therapy can help.

Attachment theory informs my work and somatic work - connecting to the body and nervous system - is woven throughout our sessions

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)

My Approach

I work through an intersectional lens, always considering how systems and environments shape our mental health.

I use a range of evidence-based modalities, including:

IFS (Internal Family Systems)

Mindfulness & Somatic Practices

They teach us to look outward—to authorities or institutions—for who we are and what choices we should make. My goal in therapy is to help you reconnect with yourself. We’ll work together to understand your story more fully and help you learn to trust your own inner experience. My style is warm and direct, and I bring humor into the work when it’s helpful.

High-control systems cut us off from ourselves.

Therapy can hold both heaviness and lightness—pain and relief.

While I hope this gives you a sense of what our work together might look like and a little more about who I am - the best way to see if this will be a good fit is to reach out via email and schedule a free 15 minute consultation via telehealth so that we can discuss any further questions.

Connect with Me

Snakes shed their skin to make room for growth, and in the process remove parasites that have been plaguing them. In the context of therapy, I think about the process as shedding a skin that we have outgrown. Coming out of a high-control religious environment provides the opportunity to shed our old beliefs and discard the constricting systems and ideas that held us too tightly.

Shedding Old Skin

Doing this work of shedding old skin is not an attempt to become someone different, but is a chance to discover the self that has always been there.
